Annapurna Broccoli is one of the two types of broccoli grown and harvested at Twin Lakes.

Annapurna is a very uniform, fresh market broccoli with a medium size frame, heavy domed-shaped heads, small to medium beat and an attractive green colour.

Annapurna is an early maturing variety, suitable for shoulder or mild summer harvest. Normal harvest times are from late November through to January.

Aurora Broccoli is an early maturing variety which handles the summer/autumn harvest when heat inversions between night and day can stress plants and increase the likelihood of physiological conditions such as brown beat, hollow stem and purpling, all of which Aurora has a strong tolerance to.

Aurora produces a dome-shaped head of an excellent dark green colour with a thicker stem, ensuring significantly longer shelf life for the final product. Harvest for Aurora Broccoli is from January to May.
